Create new blocks of paper templates - Give yourself a dose of imagination and join in the game!
Creating new forms and expressions is one of the most fun things I know! I like to sit and puzzle with paper templates and see how I can combine them in new ways. Occasionally, when the paper templates I have on hand are not entirely what I am looking for, I draw my own! With that approach there are endless possibilities!
During the class I will show some of what I have done as a result of such puzzles and we take some of the blocks and go through how they can be sewn. If you want, I can help you put together exciting fabric combinations that give your work a distinctive character.
The goal of the course is that you should learn to become more self-sufficient, get the ability to pick inspiration from several sources and put it together on your own without an exact pattern to follow. Paper piecing opens up many new shapes and expressions while providing a very accurate result.
As I share my tips, I hope that you will be inspired to find a needle and thread and fearlessly explore and create brand new blocks. Or you can pick design elements from my quilts and as an inspiration for your own unique expression.
